NRL Wheelchair is pleased to announce that specialist disability accommodation provider KinKera Community and purpose-driven lender etika have signed as partners for two community Wheelchair Rugby League events to be held this year and in 2024.
The first event will involve a Gala Day to celebrate International Day of Disability 2023. In 2024, a Come N Try event will be organised to allow the broader community to engage with the international sport of Wheelchair Rugby League.
Wheelchair Rugby League Australia Director Joseph Chidiac said, “We welcome this partnership and the support of both KinKera Community and etika as they engage with us to showcase our inclusive sport and raise awareness of its many opportunities and benefits.”
Ian Jordan, Director KinKera Community said, “This is an exciting opportunity for KinKera Community to help a great organisation like Wheelchair Rugby League and to also be able to partner with a progressive lending organisation like etika. These initiatives help Australians with disability compete in and enjoy sports and events like most Australians and we are so very pleased to be able to help in a small way.”
Etika Country Manager, Marnix Poot said, “We are thrilled to be able to support these events with Wheelchair Rugby League Australia alongside KinKera Community. The etika team are excited to be involved in these events and help share the joy of sport with individuals with diverse abilities.”
Further details of the International Day of People with Disability event will be shared through digital and social media channels in the near future.
