Darren is a senior executive, with extensive experience across the sport, media, finance and not-for-profit sectors. Most recently he has been the CEO of Equestrian Australia and previously the CEO of Athletics Australia. Prior to his career as a senior sports administrator, Darren held leadership positions in large, multi-national organisations including News Corp, Yahoo! and Penn Health, based both in Australia and overseas. Having commenced his career at KPMG, Darren is a finance professional with CA qualifications. He is also a Graduate of the AICD.

In those roles, Darren ran major events, developed and delivered on strategy and led businesses through transformation, change and growth. He has worked across sport from grass roots to high performance, including delivering successful Olympic and Paralympic campaigns for Athletics and Equestrian.

Darren is the Chair of WRLA’s Finance, Risk and Audit Committee and a member of the Major Events Committee.
