Aaron Brooks is a senior energy and infrastructure lawyer with significant commercial experience. With a career that includes time in Australia and London, Aaron has played a key role in renewable energy projects across solar, wind, waste-to-energy, and battery storage. Currently, Aaron is focused on Australia’s renewable energy transition, contributing to building a sustainable future for the nation.

Aaron joined the board of NRL Wheelchair in April 2023 and contributes to its success as a member of both the Marketing & Sponsorship Committee and the Finance, Risk & Audit Committee. He brings a unique blend of commercial acumen and passion for sport to his role, aiming to elevate wheelchair rugby league’s profile and participation across Australia.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Queensland. He has a strong commitment to pro bono work, particularly assisting those experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges.

Aaron is an avid sports enthusiast. A lifelong supporter of the Brisbane Broncos, he also plays soccer, is an advanced scuba diver, and—thanks to the COVID-19 lockdowns—has picked up both guitar playing and a Netflix-induced passion for Formula One.

Through his work with NRL Wheelchair, Aaron is excited to combine his love for rugby league and his professional expertise to help grow this dynamic and inclusive sport.
