This last weekend (2nd to the 4th of September) was our second last Australia-based training session before heading to the Rugby League World Cup.

This was another successful couple of days as we continue to work as a collective to find what our brand of football is. Being able to spend these camps playing against each other has aided us in identifying our strengths and how that will benefit our overall game style.

We have a group of players that we know individually can play,  the real key is to change mindsets from ‘I can do that, give me the ball’or ‘I need to be telling everyone what to do so I feel in control’,  And focus on ‘how do we’ achieve success together. I can see from our first session many months ago until now, that the team has started embracing this, and remain confident that by the time we arrive in England the team will be ready.

I continue to be impressed with the depth and playing abilities of this group. I’m excited to get the team together later this month as we complete our preparation on home soil and get ready to head North and play in a few warm-up games before the World Cup kicks off.
