The Rugby League World Cup is fast approaching and the Wheelaroos need your support. Corporate sponsors will make all the difference to our mighty players as they prepare to contest the Cup.

Our corporate sponsors can showcase their contribution to the Rugby League and Disability communities in Australia through naming rights, logos and other corporate partner benefits.

The Wheelaroos – Australia’s Wheelchair Rugby League representative team – will be in the UK during October and November 2022 to participate in the World Cup tournament which celebrates the sport of Rugby League in all its forms.

Wheelchair Rugby League Australia (WRLA) is required to cover the costs of taking the Australian team to the World Cup. WRLA seeks the support of corporate sponsors who can help with these expenses, which include team training and preparation, long-haul stopovers, travel in the UK and specialised accommodation.

The Rugby League World Cup is expected to reach an audience in excess of 150 million people. The tournament will be televised around the world, attracting mainstream media and social media attention.

The logistics for a touring Wheelchair Rugby League team are challenging, but with more than a decade of experience WRLA  is ready and training our skilled players for the big event.

For some Wheelaroo players it will be their third World Cup appearance, for others it will be their debut in international sport, or their first overseas trip. Australia’s team even includes a father and son playing alongside each other in a ground-breaking alliance.

Talk to us today about how you can help support our Wheelaroos on their epic journey. Smaller businesses can team up with like-minded partners to make a substantial contribution.
