CANBERRA LAUNCHES WRL

Wheelchair Rugby League Launched in ACT

Canberra Region Rugby League and the Canberra Raiders are pleased to launch wheelchair rugby league in the Canberra region.

Anyone interested in playing NRL Wheelchair Rugby League is invited to attend the Come and Try Days at Queanbeyan Indoor Centre on Sunday February 23 and Sunday March 1.

You can be a regular wheelchair user, you can be able bodied who wants to play, male or female, younger or older. It doesn’t matter as this game can be played by everyone as long as you are in a wheelchair you can play.

CRRL has wheelchairs for use and this will also be a training session for referees.

We want as many players as possible as we aim to start a competition this year if we have enough players and later possible selection for the ACT and maybe get to play in an Interstate series and maybe Australia.

This is a new venture and we encourage all people to come and try wheelchair rugby league.

Register your interest by sending an email to mvergano@raiders.com.au
